My mother has lived in Aristacare's Nostalgia Park for almost a year. There are many kind and caring people who work there and if problems develop, they do everything they can to remedy them. One person who is truly dedicated to the residents and always goes above and beyond the call of duty is Lisette Sousa-Vasquez, the program coordinator. She works tirelessly to create a warm, homelike environment and her efforts make a real difference to my mother's happiness. Shout out to nurses Rose and Bri, aides Paul, Sam and Brenda for their kindness as well.
Layla at the front desk is always cheerful and spreading her cheer. She knows everyone which makes it more welcoming vs daunting. She’s always willing to help and is right on top of things. I have no issues recommending this facility as the staff always seem caring and helpful. Residents, whether short term or long term always seem happy with the care and their stay. Food may not be the best but that’s the only complaint I’ve heard about the facility.
Just have to say how amazing Layla is at the reception desk! Everytime we walk in and leave we get a huge welcoming smile or a have a great day and a genuine concern for how my father and I are doing. We visit my mom everyday around 3pm and no matter what we get the same service from her. This is so important when we are all dealing with stuff that isnt so great. Great job Layla!
My mom is there now. She is 82 had stomach surgery and has other health issues. She needs to gain her strength to walk . She is just starting PT. The food is pretty awful she was there a few years ago and it was awful then too. Definitely not a diet for strength and healing. Think Ill door dash for her .
When you enter the lobby it is different from any other facility and the warm smile from Layla makes difficult times seem easier to handle. Love the care and happy people. It shows they love their jobs.
Best rehab we could identify with available bed. My wife had total knee replacement at Jersey Shore Hospital and needed physical therapy plus hemoglobin increase after the surgery. 12 nights here in total. Positives include physical therapy every day (Mike, the best), nursing care (Tia, Monica, Deanna, Albert - all great). Chris, an aide plus Regina from housekeeping are sweethearts and made the time go faster.
Opportunities for improvement include food quality and TV cable selections.
Overall a caring and safe place for your loved one.
When I went to visit a family member during her stay at rehab and during my visit I met a woman named Layla and she was amazing, and very helpful with explaining directions of the facility and what they offer. She mentioned there was music going to be played in the dining hall so I brought my family member their who is patient at aristacare and it felt soo good to see the smile and excitement on her face as she watched the singers. My overall experience was sooo postive because Layla really brightened my day with such an infectious smile. Also I met the rehab team and they explained how to get her in and out of the car which was very very helpful. Thank you
Do not trust these people with your loved ones!! Too many times would we ring the help bell and no one would come. Or they will come and shut it off and leave without asking what you needed. They left my family member stranded on the toilet. Sat there for almost 30 minutes with the help I fell down bell ringing and no one came.or when the male employee tried to remove her clothes because he said they where too big and pulled them off her. This is just a few things. Please if you care about your loved one don't bring them here.
